What do I like better than eating…shopping! On Thanksgiving, I get to do both. Plus balance a tray of turkey in one hand and a baby in the other. I couldn’t be more blessed! Motherhood has been treating me well for those who have asked. We’ve got into a routine and I’m just trying to juggle it all. Taking care of a baby, my husband, my home, and my blog. The blog part is a bit of a challenge since it takes so much time and in the evenings I’m so tired since I don’t sleep very well. I had my baby about 3 weeks ago and somehow I blinked and the holiday season is here. I feel unprepared, how do people do it?! Have a baby and hop right back into blogging. Not even just photos, but sharing sales, gift ideas, and holiday fabulous photos. I need to get back at it, except I’m not so sure how…haha.
Anyway, here is a list of sales that you can get a head start on. Why wait for Black Friday when you can shop some sales today?!

Who doesn’t love festive, cozy Christmas loungewear or sleepwear?! I know I do, I love curling up with some Hot Chocolate in front of the fireplace while watching my favorite Christmas movies. Any Hallmark lovers out there? My mom and I are obsessed and my sister makes fun of us and says ”How can you watch this? The acting is so bad!” We beg to differ, we think Hallmark is the best! We have a Nutella Hot Chocolate recipe we are dying to try.
I’ve rounded up some of the cutest Christmas cozies, perfect for the homebody in your life. Or maybe someone you know just had a baby and they plan on staying home a lot…like me. Ha! Really though I love getting a fresh new pair of pajamas around Christmas time. I HATE spending the money on pajamas, so I LOVE when other people do. Lol!
I’ve never had more PJs than I do right now, with having my little boy I got so many as presents that I thought I just had to share a PJ gift guide with all you ladies!
What do you love getting as a Christmas gift that you hate spending the money on?!
This is one of my last maternity looks, even though none of the clothes are actually maternity. This vest is so fun and cozy. It’s reversible too! So you can wear it a few different ways. This tee matched perfectly, and these leggings are comfy for those days I don’t want to wear ”real” pants.
I’m getting used to life with a newborn, so I hope to be able to get back into the swing of blogging and taking photos on a regular basis. I appreciate all the congratulations and for you, ladies always stopping by to say hi!
My baby is born! I can’t believe my little bundle is 9 days old today. He was born on Friday, November 4th. Exactly a week before my due date.
Time slow down!
I don’t want my baby to grow too fast especially because he started out at 9 pounds 5 ounces and 23.5 inches long. All the nurses wanted to see him! My labor went so well, we had no idea my baby would be the size he was. My doctor did have a suspicion because I myself was 9 and a half pounds and 22.5 inches. However, when she ordered a growth scan he was only measuring a little bit bigger than average. So she thought he’d be 7 and a half pounds to early 8s.
I remember when they laid him on my chest I told the doctor your ultrasound machine was wrong. I was a little tired and probably delirious. I love my doctor, she was with me even when she didn’t have to be. They said she doesn’t usually ”push” with people. Well with me she was there from start to finish. She hugged me goodbye and told me she was proud of me because as a first-time mom I did pretty well.
It felt like a blink, I remember telling her ”Deka, I really want to push.” and she said ”We’re gonna let you!” It’s funny how it’s kind of a blur and I don’t want to go into to much detail because this is the internet after all. However, I’m so thankful for my doctor and want to be her BFF. Haha! I’m going to miss not seeing her. She’s the cutest little woman, and I have never asked her age but she seems young. Like late 30s early 40s if that. She’s so friendly and kind, all the nurses talked so highly of her. She was actually some of the nurse’s OB! They said she’s always who they recommend, I didn’t know how good of a doctor she was until after I gave birth and hearing all the nurses rave about her.
I’m feeling good, I’ve cried a little all week for no reason at all. Other than that I’m just trying to get into a routine and learn ”how to do” life now that I have a baby. Trying to get the house ready, baby and I ready between feedings, changes, laundry, and bottle cleanings. Honestly, my new life consists of hours at the sink haha. Cleaning, steaming, drying, and then repeat one million times every day.
I’m starting to sleep again, my baby is so good he only cries when he’s hungry but I just stared at him all night. Checking on him, changing his diaper, making sure he was breathing. You know the usual first-time mom stuff. I was scared if I slept I would miss something. I didn’t sleep a wink in the hospital or for like the first 3 days we were home and keep in mind I starting feeling contractions on Thursday night at around 12ish so I didn’t actually go to sleep Thursday night, I delivered Friday afternoon. I knew I was tired, but I was trying to not let it get the best of me and it’s better now. So it all worked out, I’m not one that needs a lot of sleep anyway so it didn’t matter too much.
So all and all things are going great, my mom and sisters have helped me so much with the adjustment and I couldn’t be more grateful. I can’t wait to feel 100% like myself again and get back to blogging and life as usual or my new life as usual. Ha!
Thanks for reading, and always stopping by. I appreciate all the congratulations and well wishes. You guys are amazing!
